--In the biennial survey of NFL stadiums conducted by the players association, Mall of America Field at the Metrodome was ranked as the worst artificial playing field in the league. Rich Stadium in Buffalo was No. 2 and the Edward Jones Dome in St. Louis was No. 3 on a list that includes 13 stadiums. --In addition to having the 12th overall pick in the draft, the Vikings also have selections in the second, fourth, sixth and seventh rounds, as well as two in the fifth. The Vikings' third-round pick belongs to New England as part of the Randy Moss trade last season. Minnesota's extra fifth-round selection is the result of the deal that sent quarterback Sage Rosenfels and wide receiver Darius Reynaud to the New York Giants last summer. The Vikings also got another late-round 2012 pick in that trade.
QUOTE TO NOTE
"We have some time between now and the draft to kind of look at some things from a free-agent standpoint and then we'll look at some college players as well to try to make a determination: Is it better to draft a guy or is it better to maybe bring in a veteran guy to compete in training camp? ... We do not have our mind made up at all." - Vikings coach Leslie Frazier during an interview on CBS affiliate WCCO-TV in Minneapolis-St. Paul when asked about his team's plans at quarterback.
