The elementary school children are raising funds to benefit the Special Olympics at a softball game in which police Cpl. Matt Caufield will play on Saturday in Camden.
"The students have been bringing all their spare change in for the week and the proceeds will be donated to the Special Olympics on behalf of the children from Tuckerton Elementary,
" Caufield said.
Two students, to be announced, and Caufield will present contributions to Jon Runyan of the Philadelphia Eagles at the benefit game for the Special Olympics that the public can attend on Saturday.
"I will be playing against Jon Runyan of the Eagles and his All Stars at Camden River Shark Stadium at 1 p.m.,
" Caufield said.
Mike Richards of the Philadelphia Flyers may play, depending on the outcome of the playoffs.
"Shane Victorino of the (Philadelphia) Phillies is going to appear but not play and some other players and radio personalities will be there,
" Caufield said.
The game starts at 1 p.m. Tickets to the game cost $20 and include a T-shirt, hot dog and soda.
